RECREATIONAL REGISTRATION: (Ages 5-12 yrs old)

There will be a training/ evaluation day. Players will be given their teams once the coaches have evaluated each player to try and make teams as even as possible. Teams are mixed ages in two age brackets. 5-8 year olds play together and 9-12 year olds play together. Practices throughout the season will be dependent on the coach volunteer. There will be professional training done on Wednesdays, Five to Eight year olds 6pm-7pm and Nine to twelve year olds 7pm-8pm. It is parent discretion on what training to attend. We do not take team requests.

Florida Coast FC Recreation

What to Expect as a Recreational Player:

  • Most of the teams will practice during season, 1 day a week (determined by the volunteer coach)

  • Practice is very important to build team play

  • Each player will play at least half the game, exact play time is left up to the discretion of the coach

  • In addition to regular season matches, most teams will participate in the In House Kinney Cup Tournament.

  • The U13 and up teams play TARSA. Their season begins in October and will require some local traveling throughout the season.

  • The U12 and under begin their season in September and DO NOT travel. All games are played here at Veterans Memorial Park, Hudson (Sept - November)

All teams (players and parents) will be asked to participate in league wide projects and fundraisers  


Our registration fees include:
Uniform:
  (2) Jersey
  (1) Game shorts
  (1) Game socks
   *Parent/Guardians ARE responsible for providing cleats, shin guards and a ball.

Fee includes all game fees and end of year awards.

Ball size depends on age group.
U6 & U12 use soccer ball size 4

TARSA- U14 and up use soccer ball size 5

A portion of the registration fees go directly to FYSA to pay for player insurance, state association fees, team league fees, league game referee fees, etc.

VOLUNTEER HOURS

Do you need to fulfill your Volunteer Hours? There are several ways you can help your club and team. Your coach or team manager can give you more information. Here are the most common ways:

  • Field Marshall a home game

  • Assist in field preparation (Painting, moving goals, setting flags)

  • End of day field cleanup

  • Time spent on team fundraising / donation events

  • Work in the Concession stand (when open)
